Remember the 12
November 18, 1999 — the day the Aggie Bonfire stack fell and we lost 12 of our own. We carry them with us still.
That Fateful Morning
In the early morning hours of November 18, 1999, the Aggie Bonfire stack collapsed during construction on the Texas A&M campus. Twelve Aggies were killed and 27 others were injured.
For everyone who ever built Bonfire — who cut, loaded, stacked, and stood perimeter — that day changed everything. This page is how the Crocker Hall crew remembers the twelve friends we lost, and honors the spirit that has never stopped burning.
